Ways to Give to PILLAR!
Operations Donations: PILLAR needs regular donations, no matter how small. You can donate once or monthly.
King Soopers Community Rewards: Attach PILLAR as your designated charity to your King Soopers Loyalty card by going online to your King Soopers account. Go to: https://www.kingsoopers.com/i/community/community-rewards Enter PILLAR's number: WI736. (it is a W and an I, 736)
Safeway Community Rewards Cards: Pick up a card from PILLAR.
Best Practice & Key Take Aways when Performing a Reload:
1. Always request a balance inquiry before doing a reload.
* This will help avoid crossing the balance capacity of $500.
2. When Reloading, you must swipe the card in the Pin pad. Pin pad will then prompt you for a $ XX.XX amount. (You should never give the card to the checker for a reload)
* Max reload amount - $500.
3. Checker will then tender the Reload transaction.
4. Confirm "Approved" on the receipt.
RMD - Required Minimum Distributions: IRS rules mandate that individuals age 72 and older take RMDs from their IRA each year. These annual withdrawals are subject to ordinary income taxes. By making a charitable contribution from your IRA, you can satisfy your RMD amount without reporting additional income.
QCD - Qualified Charitable Distributions: A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian, payable to a qualified charity. QCDs can be counted toward satisfying your required minimum distributions (RMDs) for the year, as long as certain rules are met.
Legacy Giving: PILLAR has established a legacy fund for the purpose of sustaining PILLAR's future. The interest earned in this fund will be available for annual operations; however the original principal contributions will be held to sustain PILLAR's programs and activities into the future.
Memorial Donations: Memorial donations can be made by designating who the person is that you would like to honor. A donation letter will be sent to the family with your name as the donor.
Wills and Estates: Leave a donation in your will for PILLAR.
Business Sponsorships: Businesses can donate to PILLAR through a sponsorship. Sponsorships include acknowledgement on the PILLAR website and in the PILLAR Preview class catalog for one year. Businesses can also donate through the Enterprise Zone. Contact the PILLAR director.
