How to Register for PILLAR classes

  1. Click on the Class Registration button above.  This will take you to our dedicated secure registration software system.

  2. Enter your Login and Password. If you forgot your login and password, see below.

  3. If you are new to PILLAR or new to our new registration system, create an account.

  4. Once you are in PILLAR's registration system, find the Dropdown and click on What would you like to do?

  5. Find Current Classes. This is a listing of all of the current classes. You can click on a class to get more of the description.

  6. Click on the Register button to register.  You can register for multiple classes before you check out.

  7. After registering, you will immediately receive a confirmation email.  The day before your class, you will receive a reminder.

  8. If it is a Zoom class, you will receive a confirmation email with your Zoom link after you register. Save this first email with your Zoom link in an e-folder. Download the Zoom software ahead of time at www.zoom.us .  If you lose your Zoom link, email the director no less than a half hour before class.

The Pillar Institute Board Policy on Cancellations and Withdrawals

PILLAR Cancels: PILLAR Institute reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule classes to adjust for enrollment, technical difficulties, weather, instructor illness, or other unavoidable circumstances. If it is necessary for PILLAR Institute to cancel a class for any reason, all registered participants will be informed as soon as possible. If possible, the class will be rescheduled. If the class cannot be rescheduled, then the class fee can be transferred to another class within the same term, donated, or refunded.


Participants: If a participant cannot attend the live or virtual class, they may transfer to another class of the same value or donate the class fee.


Membership: There are no refunds on memberships.


Day Trips and Special Events: Daytrip and special event fees are non-refundable, as fees are paid in advance to secure buses, performers, admissions, food, books, etc. However, day trip and special event fees are transferable to another person.


Participants will be charged currently acceptable fees for all returned checks and charge backs of credit cards.

When attending any PILLAR activity, participants and any guests hereby acknowledge and agree that any potential claims and liabilities that may result from going to or from and then being present at the activity are not the responsibility of PILLAR Institute of Lifelong Learning, its Board of Directors, agents, officers, instructors, employees, or volunteers. Participants also acknowledge that PILLAR is not responsible for lost or stolen items, and that photographs and video may be taken at PILLAR events and used for PILLAR media.

Weather concerns

PILLAR follows the D-11 weather closures.   If D-11 is closed, PILLAR is closed.  Occasionally, the Chapel Hills Mall will close, so PILLAR will be closed.  Notifications will be made primarily by email and the PILLAR website.
