Most of PILLAR's classes are held in the Chapel Hills Mall classroom.  Some are held at partner locations such as retirement centers and churches, as well as the Pikes Peak Library District.  Please check the print or online class catalog for the exact location of your registered class.

The Pillar Institute Board Policy on Cancellations and Withdrawals

 

PILLAR Cancels: PILLAR Institute reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule classes to adjust for enrollment, weather, instructor illness, or other unavoidable circumstances. If it is necessary for PILLAR Institute to cancel classes for any reason, all registered participants will be informed as soon as possible. If possible, the class will be rescheduled.  If not possible or the participant cannot attend the new date, participants will be given a monetary credit on their PILLAR account for a future class of similar value. 

Participant Withdraws: If a participant is unable to attend a class and contacts the PILLAR Institute office at least 2 business days prior to the start of the class, participants will be given a monetary credit on their PILLAR account for a future class of similar value.   If a class is missed for any reason and no PILLAR contact was made prior to 2 business days or if a class is partially attended, no credit is given.

All credits need to be used by the end of the year or they will be considered a donation to PILLAR Institute.

Membership:  There are no refunds on membership.  The term membership discount is attached to the particular term’s classes, not any other term’s classes.  Membership discounts do not carry over to other terms.  Class credits may not be used against memberships.

Day Trips and Special Events:  Day-trip and special event fees are non-refundable, as fees are paid in advance to secure buses, performers, admissions, food, books, etc.  However, day trip and special event fees are transferable to another person.

Participants will be charged currently acceptable fees for all returned checks and charge backs of credit cards.
